Just as heavy as other ebikes except for the Focus Jam2 (shimano).
On the plus side, the Commencal is very well balanced. I did not experience any drops on the front while jumping over gaps. In other words: I do not have to pull the bike further up to keep the front of the bike in the air.
So, i own the bike now for almost 2 weeks and here are my thoughts so far:
- saddle is absolute rubbish (changed it)
- flats are quite good (but changed it to V12’s since I had those laying around)
- 175mm dropper seatpost length is great!
- dropper lever/button is to long. Thinking about to...
They shipped me the normal Wild Enduro’s 2.4. The patern looks 100% identical to your e-wilds to be honest. Only my front tyre middle patern looks thicker?
Left is rear, right is front.
New bike day!
Charging the bike now and waiting for that to build the bike up for a ride.
I've measured the MagicMary 2.35's... 57/58 mm. They look and feel very small and I'll swap them for some Michelins. I will be saving the MM for another time.
I’ve tested the normal “wilds” in 2.4 29” which are also ebike certified. Cant complain!
My review:
Michelin Wild Enduro Gum-X Front / Rear 29"
Overall:
Great allrounder and holding up with the rest of the competition in dry/moist conditions. I would really recommend these tyres to anybody...
You mean:
- 5799 = Team 2020
- 4499 = Ride 2020
- 3999 = Race 2019 (demo-bike)
The Essential 2020 costs 5499 euro but is available from about february 2020. So you'll have to wait if you choose to buy that.
All bikes are great and all of them will make you smile. The big difference is that the...
I've owned the Guide R on my Kona Precept 150, Guide RS on my YT Tues and all of them made to much noise. I don't like them at all. This is also the only thing that worries me on the MetaPower. I'm tempted to buy the Magura MT5 or MT7's but first let's see how the RSC's perform and sound after...
@Eddy Current First you bash around about 29" wheels and now this.
Let me quote you from the "Just say no to 29ers":
Here you say that you hate the integrated battery trend. And now you're loving the Focus Jam2 bike with.. guess what, INTEGRATED battery.
And, can anyone tell me how much clearance there is for the rear-shock? I mean between the shock and the upper part of the frame. Is there room enough to fit a Rockshox MegNeg? (is that even possible on a ultimate shock?)
My Team 29” was shipped yesterday!
Can anybody tell me if the tyres come inflated on the rim? And if yes, are they with an inner tyre or tubeless?
I want to swap the soft compound Magic Mary’s for some better winter season tyres.
And do you guys have some usefull tips & tricks?
- brake light compatible
- rotor 220mm
- rotor is thicker
- brake pads are different (this “advantage” is over when you change out for new sintered pads)
If you only change the rotors on your regular MT5/MT7’s you pretty much have the same except for the ebike logo’s and brake light support.
The “rule” is that shorter chainstay equals a more playfull bike. But it’s not as easy as that. You also have to look at the seat angle, head angle and such things as reach..
With modern geometry changes the 29ers can also be very playfull. But, with a chainstay of 470mm on a 27.5 bike i’m...
Chain Reaction Cycles | MTB | Road | TRI | Run
Works up to 35KG. It’s a copy of the Parktool.
It was on sale on blackfriday for 60 euro (50 GBP). Best investment I’ve ever done on a “tool”.
Lol, i buy mine sintered (gold) from AliExpress brand “Bikein”. They are good for regular trails and the cheapest ever. Not suited for enduro/DH.
The sintered doesnt make any noise, brake good in all conditions and last pretty long.
Can’t really agree with the guy on the phone.
My F30 335i (see my previous post) has:
- Adaptive M-Sport suspension wit Eibach springs
- Performance diffuser
- Tow bar
- foldable rearseats
Only thing that did not came factory installed was the eibach and performance diffuser.
I live in the...
