I myself service shimano motors.
I have also gone further than anyone else and have started remanufacturing the plastic drive gears so that we can keep motors going for longer.

If anyone does get a speed sensor error and within diagnostics error 6A then the motor needs reprogrammed to fix this. Giant are the only ones who can do it and will charge you for the privilege but shouldn’t need a new motor just reprogrammed.

Yes should be fixable for the bearings it’s just the error 500 and this might not be fixable. But best way would be to get it inspected.
