I think that's the way it's designed to work. I imagine you have to do the same thing with whatever bluetooth device / app you're using. I'm guessing that bluetooth does not stay active if it does not connect to something in that small time frame while powering up. I see this as a good thing re...
I don't see how a longer chainstay will push the balance point further forward - wouldn't it shift further back along with the wheel, cassette, rear mech, brakes etc?
I also don't believe that emtb has more weight forward. My point of lift (where the bike is balanced) is a bit less rearward on...
There have been some historic doozies. Huge army latrines (rows of drop toilets over a communal hole), and stories from when London didn't have a sewerage system and dudes had to use headlamps with a naked flame. My mother's influence when I was a youth I used to read what she had finished with...
This really made me laugh. The guy says very little, just smiles. His wife at one point peaks at about 200 words a minute, and has time for the classic "va fungool", including the gesture :ROFLMAO:. It's funny at the end when they both realise there's a camera in the car.
photography - comes and goes
bushwalking - comes and goes. Usually through the cold wet months. I especially like off track or hard to follow track and alpine.
travel - the world is getting really small; too many people. This has gone way down in my list now. I do like living in and exploring...
I thought it is still relevant - it is something that was bugging me too. I'm really not interested in current speed or range. Time, trip distance, odometer, battery, current mode - that's about it.
it sounds like you might need some time with a someone who is knowledgeable with mtb and setup. It looks like that retul system is very dependant on such a person and might be more relatable to competition eg xc or road. If your local retul station has an awesome person who knows their stuff it...
My display always reverted to current speed, unless I'd selected cadence. I did the 4.8 motor update, and an update for the power switch - I assume the display has the latest update already because there were no updates for it. No change to my display :(
I haven't had that error for a while now - so I think it was fixed with a firmware update, which surprises me :). I hadn't updated since I bought the bike - 10 months? There were two updates I think, one for the power button and motor (4.8).
I bought a trail bike with 140mm suspension. It's awesome but I find I'm pushing the suspension limits because I've started doing jumps and drops. I have the forks at 25% sag, but I'm bottoming out on drops etc. I don't want to go too harsh - where I ride isn't smooth. I'm not familiar or too...
Just a spoke tension gauge and a spoke key / spanner thing. I (like many others I imagine) just use a zip tie on the fork or rear triangle somewhere to see the buckle. I mark out the buckled area with a permanent marker on the tyre. Then I use the gauge to check the tension of those spokes - I...
I'm not into upgrading myself - I like to get the most out of everything I have. Suspension and tyre pressures, drivetrain etc. I did upgrade the rear rotor from 180 to 203. I did swap out the chain ring for gearing to suit me. Other than that - it's all fine tuning and maintenance and learning...
I've never had that happen either. Having some experience or knowledge with steels though (edged tools), I'd be inclined to heat up the effected area before straightening. I'm no expert, but I'd go for red hot, straighten it, then temper it in water or used engine oil. If it cools down while...
