One thing to keep in mind when mixing matching rotors that never gets mentioned is the friction ring size.
Magura typically has a 16mm (height of pad) so other brands caliper pads will work well.
SRAM typically has 14mm friction ring, so if your running this with a Magura or Hayes...
Makes sense, but I do know my Bosch and Shimano buddies are getting full (relatively speaking) mode usage down to the last few percent just before the system shuts down. I feel robbed with 9% left and a final stiff climb to get me back out of the woods. Gimme that 9%-5% even if its 50% max.
Would this be the same for MY2022 ?
Have to say I prefer getting 100% all the way down to ~4% let the user decide their faith or at least give them the option to do so.
When I received my Gen3 it was whisper quiet but it is quite noisy now, anyone deal with this yet?. I also started noticing I will loose some power in any mode no change in cadence. I will switch between modes up my cadence and than it seems to come back randomly.
Almost like the sensor thinks...
Have to agree, it is only better because its an actual hinge with a pin rather than bending over thin plastic.
The issue is the rock guard on the bottom does no offer any protection to the hinge edge of the door. It is simply wide open to any rock, root or log coming its way.
An elementary...
The hinge becomes weakened because it sits on the edge of the bash guard. Couple of hits on the side of bash guard and the hinge is toast.
I don't have a new one yet but if it's not inboard of the bash guard seems like the same things going to happen.
The crappy bash guard needed to be a bit...
Nice to see they have a potential fix as I am on my third. This should be a recall item.
After the third hinge failed again i was able to locate it on the trail.
I jb welded a strong magnet on the inside in place of the crap hinge. This helped quite a bit but it did come off again.
The...
Just to follow-up, the 2 routing tubes are same size.
Hayes K2 Hydraulic hose will not fit into the Gen3 Levo frame tube unless you remove the tube, then reinstall (no thanks)
The work around was a Jagwire Hydraulic Hose kit with Jagwire Quick-fit adaptors specific to Hayes.
Then after wasting...
The Hayes is measuring ~5.40mm
It pushes thru the derailleur tube no problem and can barley go an .5 inch on the brake side. Possibly the monkey who assembled the frame has the 2 tubes crossed. Not sure if they are different ID but sure seems to be.
This is a frame only build so its never...
The guide tube seems small in diameter compared to most, no go with Hayes Dominion.
I am guessing the Magura hose will go thru ok as the bike comes spec'd with it, surprising as it also seems as thick as the Hayes.
Bike shop says dealer software indicates a 2.2, but based on the SN I am worried now, only because I went thru 4 (yes four) 2.1 motors on a 2019....hmmm
Chain ring is basically a 104 BCD. I grabbed a Garbaruk and could not be happier with the 32T.
Excellent results with the Garbaruk chain-rings, definitely recommended.
