Thanks, yes, the SRAM is the clamp that is best suited - the problem is that my grips are a nightmare to remove, so I was hoping to find a clamp that would open up so I can fit it over the bar without all the aggro! Any ideas?
cheers,
UV
Hi all,
quick question.. just looking at using a BBB BSP-90 for a SRAM GX Shifter. I don’t need all the Matchmaker gubbins, just a simple low cost clamp which can open up to fit on the bar without removing grips etc. Would the BBB work...
Hi
I now have a SRAM Eagle GX derailleur, cassette and chain on my Rail 5. Was just about to swap out the shifter to a GX, but noticed the existing unit is marked ”e-mtb” where the new GX unit isn’t. I assume this is related to single click only... are there any issues with changing to the new...
I’d be interested in any meetups. I’m near Bromley so tend to ride over towards Lullingstone and Enysford, down towards Otford or around Biggin Hill. If anyone fancies trying some of these trails, let me know.
cheers,
Neil

That's useful, thanks. So I take it there is no downside with at least trying the Shimano brakes before going through the run down of steps kindly described by Ushtang above?
Hi, I’ve just ordered some Shimano SLX M7100 with XT rotars. I found the Tektro’s to be really poor in terms of stopping power - scared myself a couple of times! I‘m hoping the switch will be straightforward, so was slightly unnerved by your motor removal.. not sure I have the skills or tools...
Hi,
There's a triangle between the A21 is M25 which are crisscrossed with pathways / trails... a lot of the marked paths have stiles which is a pain, but there's a few bridleways which are pretty good fun, some of which go throught some picturesque golf courses like Lullingstone. If you're over...
Late 40s rider getting back into mountain biking for fitness.. ebikes seem to be the way to go! Bought a Rail 5 back in Feb to ride the trails around Bromley / Keston / Shoreham / Otford. Now looking to upgrade some components. Would love to hear from any other EMTB riders near me who fancied...
