As another hobby of mine is flying quads I use Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) in them. Now 4.2 volts per cell is considered a fully charged cell and 3.0v fully discharged and are sold describing a nominal voltage of 3.7 volts. So a 1s battery (1 cell) is 3.7v, 2s 7.4v, 3s 11.1 etc. Now for long term...
