    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

RE: Superceded - you mean by the M510 and <something else, maybe I missed, a new M6** series?> Totally agree on knowledge maturing. I have to say as a US-born ‘power hungry’ car and motorcycle fanatic, over time I had already adjusted on vehicles to - insane power is neat and addictive, but I...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Lol - as it is, a well known manufacturer (Bafang) can’t even get basic things right, or release displays and control pads actually suitable for riding. ‘Wait’ may be a loong wait, and no guarantees what they think someone wants - actually is. Why did you build your own E22 (ok, other than...

Long shot - decent ebike rentals in Prague?

So we found .... something. Seems like the COVID situation still has negative impact here. Sent ~a dozen inquiries, only got a few responses. Not quite what we were hoping for, but at least we got out for the day, and hey, I got to 'experience the joy' of the EU-spec M500 for grins.. :) ~50km...

Long shot - decent ebike rentals in Prague?

Traveling on a mix of work with a few days off, and was hoping to rent a pair of mid-drive ebikes for a day, can be a tour or not. We’ve been to Prague before and own a pair of (torque-sensor - Bosch and M600) mid-drives back home, while the tour and rental companies all seem pretty vague on...

    M600 vs Brose 2.2

You can try setting the M600 display to 9 PAS levels - may give you a bit more granularity on power application to 'just right' depending on what you're looking for. Yeah, sigh - I think id Bafang had engineers who actually ride - it would be nice as well :( Might be worth checking which...

    M600 vs Brose 2.2

Why would you possibly take off in the highest gear versus actually gearing correctly? I'd expect either motor to heat up and likely impact longevity over time if gearing that far off, or am I misunderstanding? Yeah, Bafang's lack of a working solid app or configuration tool for CANBUS motors...

Is dengfu still selling the E10

@Ben Rides In the US and Canada, is it then E10 is only available to Luna and Biktrix? I'm assuming this is indeed an E10 frame here? https://www.biktrix.com/pages/monte-capro-lite Any plans to make a consumer-sellable frame, e.g. an E11? Is this a modified E22 Dengfu frame, or someone...

Other controller for DPC241 Bafang m500

Nope - look at the connector. Green round = UART, purple triangular = CAN. M500/600 and some M620/Ultras = CANBUS.

    Dengfu E10 Build Component Recommendations

I have a 170mm SDG dropper in mine. I believe others were ok even at 200mm.

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

I'd expect the 'standard' Luna X2 to likely use the same battery pack as the Z1 if nothing else for commonality/one part. The X2 BMS remains claimed at 60A, although I assume it's peak - recall the claim of up to ~2kW in peak mode. Some X2 Ludi owners got 'the wrong BMS' and had cutouts so are...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Same. (already have DP C240). I'm OK-ish with the DP C240 display, mostly as I don't bother looking at it all that much and at least it tucks out of the way, but the remote is atrocious. I wouldn't mind the display being more glare-resistant, and maybe 1cm longer/taller... I rotate the remote...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

I guess that one's maybe somewhat incrementally better than the goofy 'protrusion' on the DP C240 remote, but it's an all in 1, limits to 5 PAS levels (I use 9), but does have a BT option. Ergonomically, I guess if it's small enough, the battery indicator in the middle could be a tactile...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

@Hagbard and @captainhightop - thanks to both! I was thinking next step was buying a second one as backup to play with or search ES. Awesome info. About to head on a trip but following, especially as it seems like the remote really is a simple switch device. I am curious as to your...

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

Possible due to seeing slightly higher power per PAS level with the 52v battery? In for update as you run both down a few times for range and low voltage comparison. (same basic batter for X2, although X2 Ludis are supposed to have higher amp BMS).

    I bought a bike!

It's not about pure speed for me, it's improved interaction and responsiveness with the bike. I usually run in L1/2 of 9, with the LudiV2 controller.

    I bought a bike!

Did you get the LudiV2 controller? I've got a long thread of mods over on Luna's forum, but the controller is great overall, so is the bike for the most part.

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Does anyone happen to have any info on the pinout and signals from the DP C240 B/W keypad? Not looking to replace the display as it’s fine ((and IMO most other Bafang displays kind of suck sitting way over the bars..), but the goofy shape of the keypad is annoying. Would love to replace it...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

For me it was pedal strikes. Possible lighter riders(I'm 6' ~225lbs/100kg), those doing more flat, or running stiffer or higher travel suspension don't need. I originally went from Bafang 170mm to Luna 150mm as the only available option at the time. I had wanted to go to 160mm, so when...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Pretty fast shipping to the US - was super surprised when they showed up yesterday or the day before. Just throwing some weights out there from my scale: Bafang OEM 170mm(pair): 566g Miranda 160mm(pair): 514g Luna 150mm(pair): 462g Also confirming @thaeber 's earlier comments - pretty much...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

M600 is supposed to support both gear and brake sensors but many bikes and kits ship without the cables. On complete bikes, I think only the Frey M600 comes with brake sensors. I'm thinking about adding a single brake sensor to my own bike, but it's difficult even locating the cables...
