Im just in this process. I have a Thule 531 which will take 20kg. And weighing my bike on the scales at work its 20kg without battery. And im guessing there is a wee bit of tolerance on the 20kg Thule weight limit.
I bought a Thule pack n pedal. Fits well and seems pretty solid. Solved the problem I sometimes have of needing to carry more stuff. And wanting a rack I can whip on and off in minutes.
Struth at 800 I would almost have my chin on the head stock 😂 But yeah these 640 are too narrow. I found the original 750 too wide. So ordered some more at 720 with a 30 rise.
Fitted a 50mm riser bar tonight. It measures 640mm wide. Compared to the original 750mm flat bar. The rise is fantastic but I just need to see how I get on with the width. Although I found the original bars too wide.
So I have had the Trek Powerfly 5 for almost a week. First of all it doesnt know what a hill is on my commute. I have it set on tour and it feels like turbo on my old active plus motor. Does it increase torque with pedal input in tour mode. Anyway in turbo wow its like ludicrous speed. Obviously...
Thanks yes just waiting for delivery now. But im glad I stuck with my plan to go with an emtb. I note the majority of peeps seem to choose FS bikes. But Im pretty sure I will be fine with a HT.
Im very pleased to read your comments guys. Because last night I spotted a brand new old stock 2022 Trek Powerfly 5 with a large frame. And I got it for damn good price. The geos looked better than Haibike for me. And reading up Trek have a very good rep for quality of build. Plus it has the non...
Just the feel of holding the bars when in the saddle. Admittedly I have next to no off road riding experience. But road riding for years. I have usually chosen an M frame in my other bikes. My previous Tern was to suit all sizes but before that I had a Kona Sutra in a 56 frame which was...
Im in a real quandry. Infact Im stuck what to do. I was pretty set on Haibike Alltrack 6 hard tail. But I’m struggling with frame size. I’m 5 11” with about a 33” inside leg. Overall though I’m pretty average size wise everywhere else. My selection is M or L. But I’m concerned about feeling...
Yep a total newbie here. But only to emtb. I just sold my Tern ecargo bike. And im starting to look for an emtb. About to make a post on sizing help so watch this space.
