Obrital sander clamped upside down in a workbench or vice. Glue a Velcro backed pad to the bottom of a Chinese takeaway curry container which you then fill with muc off or similar. Put the chain parts into and put the lid on. Velcro strap the sander trigger in the on position and leave it...
Not ever so helpful but...I just put a 170mm brand x on a med 2019 jam2. Its pushed all the way down , the 200mm is 60mm longer 30 of that is travel so...
i had the 34s on a Jam2, They used to flex backwards rather than compress on fast small bumps, they worked OK but just flexed a lot. I swapped them out for z1's.
160mm Marzocchi bomber Z1's, they are a massive upgrade over the fox 34 despite being related. Only question now is to convert to coil or not? They are great as as they are to be honest.
The 2019 6.8 plus won't, the tyre jams against the frame when inflated. I got some superstar wheels to try it. With minions on, there was no way it would work. Didn't look like it would work with a slicker tyre either.
I tried the mullet setup at BPW but it felt a bit subdued. It was smoother...
I have a focus 2019 27.5 jam2 6.8 and if I could do it again now, I would buy the 2020 bosch version of the same bike puerly for the bigger internal battery.
The 2019 bike I have now loves a bike park, loves jumping, loves a trail & loves a commute as well. I came from a coil sprung 2016 giant...
Thanks for the reassurance that while a pain it's not defective. It takes a few attempts to turn it on when the tec pack is connected I guess that's normal as well?
As title really, I expected that the bike would know the tec pack was flat and switch to frame battery on it's own but it went into eco, then the system went to off mode. Had to turn off, disconnect and turn back on. Is this the same as everyone else's?
I just fitted a 29" 160mm Bomber Z1 and it doesnt appear to have made any noticeable difference to geometry. With used ones I guess steerer length is something to watch. Probs already been said above with the other good advice already given.
I got the wide trail minions on the orig 40mm rims and normal minion on the 29" Superstar tr21 front. Interesting fact 29" wont fit on back fully inflated :(
I tried it yesterday at bike park Wales. It's a trade off between a slightly smoother ride and being able to throw it around. After a climb up and a run down on each I left the 27 on. It just felt better to me. More responsive steering. Both wheels had 2.5 wide minions on btw.
So took the jam2 to bike park wales yesterday. Rode to to the top in eco used just over one bar which is ok as I weigh 105kgs. The issue is that the forks flex backwards and forwards alot of the time while coming down the runs. Not something I ever noticed on the 35mm Pikes on my old bike. Are...
My 2019 Jam2 does it if i'm in the "right gear" normally a low a gear and in boost. The bike wants to go faster than I start pedaling and there is a split second of overdrive would you call it?
It gets a bit crazy on steep climbs, again, in first or second gear and boost, as you come over the...
I've just swapped the supplied tubed 2.8 rekons and put a 2.6 wt minion on the front and a 2.6 wt hr2 on the back both tubeless, its much better. Old bike had minions front and rear but this feels really good with hr2 on the rear. think in my mind the extra weight of the bike helps with the rear...
I have just fitted the same brakes. I had to drop the motor as there was a cable tie inside the frame above the motor/under the shock mount. The best way was to leave the rear lowest two bolts in, and lower the front against the frame. No need to unplug anything. Tapped the lever end of the hope...
