I think I have the same error as you in my 4 month old e7000 motor. Started with occasionally e043, now getting w013 followed by e010. Got this error x1day it went away and I got 2 rides in but came back today at end of ride and still there now if I try to turn on bike
4.31 from 4.4, I was reading through another thread and sounds like others are having this same errors and having to go through warranty.
My bike is only 4 months old, battery fits snugly, no corrosion, visually cables and connections look fine, no kinks. I have not dropped the motor or taken...
Installed previous firmware and still got error after 1 hour on todays ride. I am not getting e043 anymore, now i get w013 followed by e010 and it won’t clear by powering off.
I am so confused, this motor has a mind of its own. So I tried everything I could think of hoping to fix issue from pedaling bike with motor off/on, taking off battery, plugging battery into charger and connecting to E-TUBE app. Nothing worked, I kept getting same error when I turned it on. Went...
So a few more rides without e043 error. Today I was going for a ride and when turning on power I get w013 followed by e010. Not touching pedals, now getting these code every time I try to turn it on. I’m guessing something was failing in my motor.
I am having the same E043 error on my E7000 system. I get the error every 2-3 rides, shut off power and turn back on to finish my ride without any problems. Hoping new firmware is released soon to fix this issue.
Thanks Rusty, that's what I thought. Does your tech guy know if when newer firmware is available it will overwrite correctly? or will the problem continue? where I live I found out that there are no step dealers, we have 2 Shimano dealers but neither deal with E Bikes yet. So I am hoping the...
Yesterday’s ride I got e010 error on a downhill run. The only thing I changed before getting these errors was tightening the external battery mount , I might have made that too tight so the battery didn’t rattle? I slightly loosened after ride. See if that makes a difference.
I recently updated my e7000 motor/display/shifter to the latest firmware. On 2 rides out of about 6 I got this error. shutting off system and turning it right back on, it works fine for the rest of the ride.
My problem is that I don’t have a Shimano steps dealer on island to re install...
I plan on eventually changing out cassette for one with 46 / 50 T, possibly changing front ring to a 30 / 32 for now since that will be a cheaper option. Also I really don't need to climb the trails I have been attempting (they are some of our downhill runs) was trying to find the limits of...
I couldn't find a thread about gearing and what everyone is using so I am starting one.
My question is what gearing do you find adequate for your trails? and what do you use on your non motorized MTB for these same trails?
I know there are a lot of factors, like where you ride, how you ride...
Looking at the clearance in pictures from the side, the front of the rear tire looks close to the back of the motor. I worry about clearance because the dirt where I ride packs onto the tires when wet and builds until it rubs and stops spinning.
I have a feeling it has changed for 2019, so looking forward to your measurement. I am still interested in this bike. If possible could you also post a picture of the rear tire clearance around the motor. Looks tight from the pictures available online
Thanks everyone for the input.
Kernow: are you referring to the 27.5 or 29? they both have the same measurement, this would be fine for me on the 27.5 but seems high for the 29.
Avyoung: I am probably just worrying to much, these guys know how to make a mtb.
Borist: thanks for the thought...
