Thanks for all your help, have ordered the £8 one and will use for the time being :-) If anyone starts making one that’s more like a sump guard, I will be in the market ?

From what I’ve read then mounting points are the same but the engine casing is a slightly different shape so you have to dremel the side of the guard, unless they’ve changed it. Thanks again :-)

Thank you but this one only fits the e8000 not the e7000 :-( Rock guards one looks good and will fit :-) little pricey but cheaper than a new motor!

Hi, Going to receive delivery of my e sommet with e7000 motor which as mentioned doesn’t come with a bash/motor guard. Does anyone on here make and sell one? Or is it ok without one? Many thanks ✌️
