So I guess you can remove the steel brace that runs the full length of the downtube with this change? Not sure what it's purpose is really but looks to give some support along the length of the battery between the top and bottom bracket supports.
Not sure there is any need to countersink the holes. Think I would oversize the holes slightly and use cap head allen bolts with a washer. Will give a bit of adjustment to get the battery positioned nicely.
JE James Chesterfield had an XL top of the range and a large M10 a couple of weeks back. Leisure Lakes in Long Eaton had one in too but can't remember which model. large also of I remember correctly. JE James also have a M and L you can book out for a demo via the Orbea website.
Problem with making them for other people will be the unique fitment required on each frame due to manufacturing tolerances. The two tapped holes really need to be marked and drilled for each installation.
Interesting, so the new angle bracket connects the top end of the battery directly to the downtube via the two screws? So you can still remove the battery if needed but it's a bit more of a faff. Also removes the worry of losing the keys!

Can get the small black external cover/clip off but the internal (blue) housing that holds the crimps into the body seems impossible to remove without damaging the plug. If anyone know a trick to getting it out please let me know.

Just acquired a second hand Trek Rail. The speed sensor wire is really frayed at the plug where it plugs into the motor, only a couple of strands left attached. Does anyone know if the plugs can be dismantled to re-crimp the wire? Or failing that where I can source a replacement plug...
Sounds like it could be your disc brakes rubbing. Check the rotors are running true and check you don't need new pads. Might just need some fine adjustment. Try dragging your brakes slightly when riding along and see if the noise stops.
