    My Decoy Leaning on Stuff

Do those have a forward offset? I haven't looked into them. Which were you thinking?

    My Decoy Leaning on Stuff

Soo the boxxer is awesome, but one big problem... in tight switchbacks the upper stanchions hit the frame not allowing tight turning. Welp, that was a quick experiment, back to the lyrik.

The CCDB Coil 230mm e2e can be converted to a 70mm stroke (177.7mm overall travel) from any other stroke length. I’ve also seen a 9x3” (76mm stroke, 193mm overall travel) but couldn’t get the guy to answer hardly any questions and he takes forever to respond (it’s still on pinkbike). Was able to...

Anyone change the chainring to a 32t?

Nothing special, just needs to be 104 bcd. I'm running a Race Face narrow wide.

    My Decoy Leaning on Stuff

I contacted Push about that and they said 65mm is the longest the stroke can be in that e2e length. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll probably need to go to a 2.5 rather than the 2.8 in the back lol. I was also thinking I would use a single offset shock bushing (put in the high position) to...

    My Decoy Leaning on Stuff

Haha yeah I kind took a leap of faith with the mag pedals but I'm liking them a lot. My feet do stay on the pedals better than the horizon pro/five ten flats combo I was using. I got the 200N version and I think they could be a touch stronger, something like 225 might be perfect. Using Giro...

Anyone change the chainring to a 32t?

When the battery dies? Not easy. I'm running a 32t with a 9-46 cassette. I use the whole cassette and 32 seems to be spot on. If I had the 11-46 cassette I'd keep the 34 on the front.

    Volume spacers for suspension?

I'd recommend these... Neopos – Formula

    Dual Crown

I've also been considering this for awhile but haven't pulled the trigger. Currently have a Lyrik 180mm w/ Push HC97, which is really good but there are moments when it's noticeable that more stiffness would be nice. I can't justify making the switch though. On my next e-bike I'll be purchasing...

    Flats or clipless ???

I'm also using these and have been pleasantly surprised. I did instantly swap out the pins for beefier ones though. In the description it says it comes with some 11mm pins but I believe all I got was the 8mm version.

    Bike racks...

The middle metal cylinder part of my Saris Bones 3 has buckled and bent a bit, still usable, due to a 53 lb YT Decoy on the back. I guess I'll be removing the battery during transport from now on.

    YT Decoy thread part 2

Thanks for your feedback. I currently have a Push 11/6 on the back and wanted to bump my Lyrik up to 180mm and try a mod from one of these companies. I'll look at the Runt and HC97. I was also even considering a 180mm Boxxer. I believe the axle to crown on a 180mm Boxxer is the same as a 170mm...

    YT Decoy thread part 2

@Nasty Nick - How are you getting on with the Smashpot? I'm considering converting my Lyrik RC2, do you think it'd be a worthy upgrade?

    Revgrips

I think it's going to be a personal feel thing. I've been using them for probably a year or so and have liked them very much thinking that they do make a difference. I recently switched back to regular grips and now I am unsure and maybe it was all placebo. For this reason I'd say pass unless...

Decoy Dropper Insertion & Travel Options

I know the XL has a max seat tube insertion of 280mm. The difference of overall seat tube length between the L and XL is 25mm, so I suppose 255mm is the max insertion for the L.

    Yt demo day

Could always throw an offset headset (Works Components - Angle Headsets | CNC Bicycle Components | Made in the UK) or shock bushings in there. A -2 degree headset also steepens the seat angle by half a degree and increases wheelbase by about 27mm depending on other geo numbers. I plan to use a...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Brand new to e-mtb, recently ordered a YT Decoy. I've read several pages of this thread but couldn't really discern what the consensus is on proper tire casing strength. I'm thinking DD/SuperGravity/WTB Tough on the rear and I've been going back and forth for the front, either EXO+ or...
