Forgive me for asking the question but surely the battery life would only suffer more if you were constantly going over 15mph, no assistance parameters have changed, you've just extended how long you use assist. So even though you change the wheel size, up to 15mph, nothing changes with BLEvo...
Yep, you're right, last thing I want to do is hardcode the wheel size to not be able to change at a later date. I will try BLEvo tomorrow and if it's a fit and forget mod then all good. If it gets complicated then I'll go the other option.?
If its that easy then sure BLEvo seems the better option but seems too good to be true. I've not used the app and no offense to anyone that does but I just want to ride trails 4-5hrs then home, no interest in clocking up times or routes. I'm sure it does alot more but I don't like gadgets and I...
I only need it to keep up with friends on their full sussers on flow trails. It seems those bikes carry more weight and they can pull away from me without peddling, whereas I'm quite light and need a boost peddle here and there yet most the time I'm doing over 15mph so it's already cut out. Call...
Yeah sorry meant to say Paolo came back to me via email and said it would work. Will try via light blue app first as already have it on phone. Hopefully I won't brick my motor ?
Well looks like it's a hard wired mod then.
I don't generally take my phone with me on trails. Just stick the bike in trail mode and go home when the battery is flat!
Hope the bike is going well for you, few upgrades and it becomes a semi-proficient downhill beast. Just need to get the right...
Yeah same bike, yet I just read a post on the BLEvo forum and Paolo (app designer) said it will work as the 2019 HT is same as 2018 model?
I guess only one way to find out unless you already tried that?
Yeah no lights on mine. 2019 model but sticker says Sept 2018 build.
Never used BLEvo app as don't want to record rides or anything but I guess your stating there's a mod to change wheel size?
Seems a bit of a taboo subject on here yet what's the options to raise the assist slightly. Could do with about 20mph min. Running 5.4.0 on my Levo HT (2019) so guess that rules out using the light blue app to change wheel size?
Don't really want to be rewiring dongles but if that's the case so...
Well I'm glad I asked the question then as I thought Butchers mimic the DHF tread. Maybe I'll play it safe with a high roller 2 on the front as they do dig in hard, back not such an issue. The DHF/DHR might be a bit overkill for a hardtail in summer, I dunno... I'd prefer not to run fat tires so...
So I'm still running the 29er ground control tires that came with the bike (levo ht) but finding I can't push the bike as hard as I want to. They're great on hardpack trails and fast rolling but I need more as I'm sliding both front and rears in the loamy forest stuff. Will the Butcher grids...
The shop were listing them at £1899, rang up to pay and the guy shocked me with an added discount to £1619. Didn't argue, collected it the next day. Looks like I told too many people though as back to full price now ?
For sure there are very limited options for quality hardtail ebikes. I think for a trail savvy one you're only looking at Specialized, Vitus and Norco. I purchased and ride a levo hardtail because I want to ride on the edge and do all the work, but mainly I didn't want a 23kg bike. I ride trail...
Took tire off today to fix a slow puncture, noticed the wheel has a rubber type covering around it. Does this make the wheel tubeless ready, i.e. no need to tape? Has writing on it but can't read it.
First thing I did on my levo HT was remove that steel chainring and swap for a aluminium Hope 34t one. I ride 3x a week and both ring and chain are as new still after 2 months. I think those heavy steel rings are why people get through chains so quickly on ebikes. You'll save about 100gm in...
