These are great bikes (I own a 21' Sam2 also) however the headset bearings are probably the absolute most garbage part that comes on the bike, closely followed by the whole CIS setup. Plastic cups, non sealed bearings, and in many cases they even bind up after pressing the cups into the frame...
Ok what I was referring to mostly is that when the Shimano motors disengage it's a real mechanical klunk feeling, compared to the Bosch which even despite the over run, it's a much smoother disengage. Same goes for the initial engagement but to a much lesser extent, ie not so much of a "klunk"...
I've ridden both a bit, and contrary to what the last person said I believe that the Bosch motor feels more natural in the way that the power engages and disengages compared to the Shimano. The Bosch is also more durable and less prone to water ingress and other faults. Also it's Bosch so.... I...
The fact of the matter is that the headsets coming in most of the Focus bikes, including the high end ones are complete garbage. Often plastic cups, non sealed bearings, they don't last long at all. Probably the same can be said for plenty of other bike brands as well. The trade off is that for...

That's a bit lame reading about the dropper not being able to be mounted all the way down on the large 27 SX. Does it really stick out 2 inches on the signature? I'm 177cm and having a hard time deciding between medium and large, at this point they'll probably sell out before I decide. If that's...
hey thank you mate! i am leaning towards the large, another 40mm (give or take, it's an additional 43mm over my 2020 Clash medium)) reach seems like a lot when I look at it on a ruler, but hopefully I don't feel too stretched out on it. i do remember my medium Clash feeling slightly cramped...
is there any others out there who are around 178cm (5'8") who ride either the medium or large Meta Power SX? I have always rode medium frames, although after my last bike (2020 Commencal Clash medium) I told myself I would be buying a large frame size for my next bike. but then I realise that...
