I have a brand new 2021 Stance E+ 1 and the app does the same thing. The only thing that works in it is the battery charge level. Most of the other fields are just zero or just count up by 1 every second even when not moving. Also can't even get into the tuning section, it is grayed out.
That is a good question and I have the same question. I find that lower gear/lower assist level gives me more range, but lower speed up hills (which is OK for me). Higher gear/higher assist level less range. That seems to the basic trade off. But more to the point of your question is stress...
Nope, nor do the most of the display items during a ride work (like RPM, Range, speed, etc...). About the only thing that works is the battery percentage.
Ride Control App connects fine (most of the time), but the tuning and ride control options on the main screen are grayed out and not selectable, if you start a ride, the RPM's and Remaining Range are always zero, the distance and energy just increment at a constant rate even when I am not...
Mid 50's guy started MTB riding a year ago and quickly figured out can't go up hill very well :-). Just got a 2021 Giant STANCE E+ 1 29er and have been out 3 days in a row on it and love it. I am able to where I want when I want now! Always looking for other guys to ride with around the east...
