Here in Europe you can buy this model for 10K, its similar to Expert with same price and same weight difference (22,37kg vs 24,4kg Expert) like top Vala vs S works gen 4

My Vala has 21,5kg in Medium with X2 and mallet E Pedals! Build XO RSV with Lewis LH4 insted of the maven.
Rear Tyre is Stock Gravity Casting and Schwalbe radial tyres are Heavy!
The S works weight are in Size s4 but without Pedals!!

I've been waiting for the new Levo since last September. The more I look at the market, the more I start questioning price-performance ratios.
What do you think about this bike and these specs? 800Wh battery, Bosch Gen5, 4A Charger
, 85Nm, SramXX, 23kg with a list price of €8,500 (top spec) in Austria. I've already ridden the bike in person and honestly, compared to the Levo Gen 3 (Comp Alloy), it feels noticeably quieter and smoother.Now the question is: New Levo Comp Carbon/Expert or Cube? Amflow isn't available here with a dealer —otherwise I probably would've bought it already
And with the Vala, I don't like the upright suspension on the frame.My pain threshold is €10k. Any ideas? What would you do with 10k€?

understand ppl dont like wires, but why is it a deal breaker. There are pro and cons for both.Come the release date, I can’t help but think this cartoon will be pretty apt given the ‘no wireless controller is a deal breaker’ type chat!

There's going to have to be some very big suprise we haven't seen leaked yet for this new Levo to have any chance of diverting people away from the £6000 Amflow or the rumoured Deviate DJI bike.
I will continue running my s4 Kenevo until the Deviate or Gen 2 of the DJI as I have the 700 and 500 batteries for that & rarely use more than 44% assistance. With the 700 battery, upgraded downhill tyres, 29" wheel 38 Fork to mullet it, X2 shock and pedals my Kenevo with 180mm travel front and rear is still about the same weight as this new S4 S-works

Me too, been waiting for the Levo Gen 4 launch, and if the weight figures are accurate, it's kinda disappointing.
Compared to Santa Cruz’s Vala—even with the 600 Wh battery—the numbers seem off. Where does that extra 1–1.5 kg come from, especially when comparing the S-Works and lower models to their Vala equivalents? Must be the frame. I was expecting the S-Works to come in at around 22.x kg, with equivalent weights for the Pro, Expert, and Comp models.
You can’t just chalk that up to components and battery weight. The frame design with the side-loading battery is probably adding the extra bulk. Let's see and wait for the official launch next week and how the Levo rides...

At the end if the day for full power emtb you are looking at just below 50 lbs or above. obviously, lighter battery option about 2 lb less than full battery. Amazing that people squaking about weight to me with these full powered emtbs. I have Levo3 with 700 and 500 battery (2 lb difference) and my ride isn’t noticeably hindered at all riding everything with heavier battery vs lighter.

the last 2 emtbs we got from them our mechs needed to redo all the inner cables as they build it up so badly the dropper post cable was kinked. just don't.

one is a bike with a fixed battery, one is a bike where you can remove the battery. every time you cut an opening in the frame, you need more material to make it structurally sound. frame design 101, not that hard to figure out where the extra weight comes from. geez

From the sideloading battery. A removable battery will add 0,5 to over 1 kg to the frame, especially if you cut a big hole into the downtube. The Gen3 levo had the hole at the bottom which results in a lower weight penalty (and center of gravity) but requires the motor to be turned and therefore looks not as sleek.
