    Transition Relay Suspension Setup Thread

My info isn't very useful to most here as I have front/ rear Avalanche Suspension. The front is a Hybrid modified Mezzer that still needs just a bit more dialing in and the rear is a Bomber CR that was perfect from day one. Spring rate is mostly about rider weight (assumes the same bike...

Which SL Ebike for enduro riding ?

I've never ridden the Bosch SX (or even seen one) but am going off of reviews that I have read from people that have ridden both. I do see upon rereading that the Bosch can offer more peak power, at higher cadences. For me, with a 400 watt battery, I don't consider that an important distinction...

Which SL Ebike for enduro riding ?

I haven't ridden the Bosch SX but it's wider, louder, smaller battery, a bit weaker & can be spotted easily from outside the bike. Because of these traits I think the F60 pips it pretty easily. The Relay isn't as heavy as one might think once you normalize for the spec sheet. It's getting some...

Which SL Ebike for enduro riding ?

The Levo SL has absurdly short chainstays and a slack STA in the larger sizes. I think Spesh really missed the mark on this one. Watching my riding buddy try and climb on his was painful. He's a big guy on the S5 and his butt seemed to be behind the rear axle. Although he is a great rider, on a...

Which SL Ebike for enduro riding ?

There is something strange with engagement going on with the Fazua 60 motor. When I try and shut the motor off and pedal it's a total bear, lots of drag. But if the bike is turned off AND stopped, maybe even reversing the cranks for a moment, it has about 5 watts of drag, basically nothing...

Where are all the Neat riders?

I'm a huge Mondraker fan (have owned 2) and the Neat is a pretty special bike. However, I have to admit after riding my Relay F60 for a year, I just would not want a reduction in power and especially battery life. Unfortunately, the TQ HP50 is very inefficient with its limited battery watts due...

    Pole Voima swing arm CRACKED

I only know 2 people in my local markets that bought Poles (not Voimas). Both broke, one rear end and one was the frame. One broke after about 20 minutes of riding. It's just an inferior method of bicycle production, plain and simply. Funny thing is that our terrain, while chunky and plenty of...

    2024 Santa Cruz Heckler SL

All battery powered devices have vampire drain. Not sure why your buddy is shocked. Hasn't he ever owned literally anything with batteries before?

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

I've lost 'peak' power since I began riding the e-bike but it sure seems like my Z2 stuff is notably better. I feel really strong on my normal bike lately. Also, my technique seems really good lately as well and I think the e-bike has assisted with this. I will say that my normal bike is a...

    Pole Bankrupt

I am sorry to see such an interesting brand shut down and I always liked Leo's general style and the ideas and design of the bikes. That said, I've known of exactly 2 Poles personally in my market, and both failed spectacularly, one within an hour. Then I read exactly 2 Pole reviews, in total...

Does an Ebike make your legs waste away ;-)

I rode my bike and e-bike a combined 3x over the course of last weekend. Sunday night in the hot tub my legs locked up so badly I couldn't move, and my kid had to run inside, grab me some salt tabs, and feed me like I was an Orca at Seaworld. You can certainly get exercise while on an e-bike.

New Pinion integrated gearbox and motor (MGU)

This pretty much jives with the reviews I've seen of the MGU. Loud, clunky, inefficient. I do think it's the future of full power ebikes, but not the immediate future.

Transition Relay Owners how's the bike?

Aluminum Transitions are always anchors. Spring for the CF. That said, it's not as light as some other's because it's built robust, has the geo it has, a bash guard, a removable battery, huge dropper, etc. All of these things add weight.

Hot melt wax - the journey begins

Been on the same batch of molten speed wax since I nearly started riding 9 years ago. It's so simple, reliable, effective & clean. I don't spend nearly the effort you guys do stripping a new chain. 2 mineral spirit soaks more than does it. I'm a total tire killer and generally really damage any...
