Welcome! I am 62 as well but still consider myself "young"... Lol. The area you live in is so beautiful you are fortunate. I would agree with Rustyiron don't limit your search to lightweight lower power bikes. I thought exactly the same until I rode several different bikes. I went with a Rail...
When I am not riding I shoot trap and skeet, although it's getting expensive, it's and enjoyable sport. I also enjoy photography which gets me outdoors doing a very relaxeing activity. Hope you find something that works for you.
I purchased this from Costco and it works great. I even used it to top off trailer tires that need 80 psi. Battery lasts a long time and you set the pressure and turn it on, shuts off automatically. Based on my very accurate tire pressure gauge it's within a pound of what I set it at.
Agree with that! I was riding a bike park downhill run and it's like I hit the brakes when it hit 20. So used to my SC which easily gets to 30. But the uphill is so fun now it makes up for it.
My wife and I purchased two 2022 Rail 9.7 bikes last year on a BOGO free sale. It was a deal we couldn't pass up. These are our first E-bikes and we could not be happier. We put some serious stress on them during a camping trip to the Sierras. We were doing 25 mile rides with over 3,000' of...
Took a break on my ride to take a pic, this spot is at 9,000' elevation in the Sierras. The Rail has been a great performing bike. After a 26 mile ride with 3,800 feet of climbing it still had 40% battery left.
Omg Matty, what a terrible story. I guess the saying it could have been worse is not really helpful. Your story hit home for me. 2 months ago I had my most serious Mtb crash ever. I ended up with multiple broken ribs, separated shoulder, compression fracture of my spine. I also slammed the top...
My experience with Santa Cruz and customer service is nothing short of amazing. I would be extremely surprised if they didn't help you and take care of your issues. Hope it's fixed quickly.
There are E-bike riders and those who want to be E-bike riders. Who cares what people say. Getting tired of people telling others how they should live their life. However, I fully understand people being upset with rude riders whether on E-bike or not. I still ride my Santa Cruz analog...
Whatever you do don't skimp on the helmet and get the most coverage you can, around the temples and base of skull. I had a bad crash recently and my head hit the ground hard then slammed the top of my helmet into a rock lined ditch. It saved me from serious head injuries. I was using Bell Super...
Correct, looking for a cover for the frame opening when the battery is removed. The tape does work, but not the exact thing I was looking for. Clearly there is no demand for something like this based on the lack of anyone making one.
