  • Hi thaeber, looks like your'e the man when it comes to bafang m510 firmware knowledge. I built my own dengfu e10 with the bafang m510 Motor and the large 840Wh battery. Unfortunately i suffer from battery attenuation starting at 30%.
You have posted a new firmware already two years ago wich solved the problem. Any long term experience ever since?
What is the newest firmware for the compound, where can i find it?

Hi, this is not that easy because there are 3 controller versions of the M510 FC1. You need the know what version You have, otherwise You cannot flash the firmware. I was running the firmware on picture attached, You need to download it from GitHub. If You need a real specialist, contact Dado. He has also hardware available that can be used to flash Your engine.

Hello, I ride an E10 from Dengfu. I have lost a fuse from the bolt. Do you know where I can find a replacement?

Contact Chili Shen from Victory Machinery. I think You need a original replacement from Dengfu. If You are in Europe, You can ask Tosa Bikes if they have it on stock.

Hi! I lost the bolt. I had to order a new one. I see from the last correspondence that you are trying to flash the v.1.0 motor. have you not solved the problem with the motor?
I see the e10 calls for a 37.5 mm fork offset. Would a 44mm offset be a noticeable difference? if so how would it perform differently?

No I don’t think so. I run a 180mm fork with 44mm Offset and 29 wheels. Feels great!
Hey thank thanks for all you insight. One more question. I've sourced Shimano M6100 brakes for my e10 build. I read online that they are very reliable but is there any reason that they are not appropriate for an emtb build?

Also what size rotors did you run on your e10?

My m600 kit came with levers that signal the controller electronically. I don't want to use them for the various obvious reasons. I asked my sales person can I simply not use them, and she said "you have to use them". Clearly I don't. I see many people not use them. But what consequence occurs if you omit them? Or is there some other workaround?

Just don’t use them. Period. 😊

Well yeah but don't they give some breaking signal to the controller? I ask because some complain about the motor revving in times when it should not and maybe a breaking signal is designed unto the system to make it work better. I might be able to hack a pressure sensor safely into "real breaks" if it makes the bafang system work better.

Do you know what it does for the bafang system?
Hi. Did you order from Chili Shen? If so did you have any issues or concerns?
    thaeber
    thaeber
Yes i did. No concern, very responsive and reliable!
hey do you have a build thread? It seems like your set up is what I'd like to build my bike after.
