I've rescued a sorry looking Lapiere needing a lot of TLC.My question now relates to the pick up or rather the distance to the magnet. It came with a powerclip which I have removed as I want to run it std so I'm not sure if it will work as it is,or has something been removed.I need to get a battery so whilst I'm waiting...I shall fettle away. Pic 1 shows the distance.Pic 2 shows the pick up detail.Bosch Performance line motor. Also aftermarket wheels....any help is greatly appreciated

If you look at the pick up it has a line on it near the wire entry. That is where the magnet needs to be. Yours looks like it wants moving out a bit. I also put a flat washer under the pick up to close the gap a bit. Google will tell you the gap as I can't remember but it's something like 7 to 14 mm.
