I've ordered an Orbea Wild FS bike with a Bosch gen 4 motor. Is there any way to tell if the software upgrade patch has been applied? The retailer did not know.

By typing "bosch CX gen 4 latest firmware" into Google?how do I know that it is the appropriate one?
Just FYI, they're up to 1.1.2.0.If it is version 1.1.0.0 for the motor, you have the 85Nm update.
DOH ! It's amazing how tolerant search engines are these days and sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the process that you forget the obvious. Thank you.By typing "bosch CX gen 4 latest firmware" into Google?

A little concerning that a Bosch e-bike retailer "does not know"
As an aside does anyone have any info as to what changes are in version 1.1.2.0 over and above 1.1.0.0?
Is it from bikester?
I got my wild fs from there about 3 weeks ago, it was on the older 75nm firmware, so I got it upgraded by a local bosch dealer a few days after I got the bike.
The delivery tracking info they provide is next to useless, but mine took 10 working days to arrive. Once it landed in the uk the UK delivery firm called me to arrange a convenient time to drop it off.Yes. I've been watching the prices for many weeks and dithered about deciding. When I saw that they were down to the last one at £3959 I snapped it up
How did yours arrive? What did you have to do assembly/setup wise?
Al
That's good. The only thing I might struggle with is setting up the gears but I'll give it a go. When you changed the brake pipes round did you have to bleed the brakes?
Al
Thanks for that tip. Sounds like it might be a 2 man job.I didnt have to rebleed the brakes, but you have to be quite careful not to spill any fluid. If you angle the brake levers so the reservoir is pointing upwards it helps stop any fluid leaking out. A friend of mine swapped his brakes round but lost a little fluid and had to bleed them.
How do you find the pedals? Are they good enough or is it worth replacing with something a bit more grippy. The delivery tracking info they provide is next to useless, but mine took 10 working days to arrive. It arrived in an absolutely enormous cardboard box, with both wheels attached and the bars twisted 90 degrees.
So you have to straighten the bars, fit some pedals, and charge the battery. The seat angle needed altering as it was poking up in the air
The brakes comes the euro way round, so you'll probably want to swap the brake lines round as well.
Suspension needs setting up too (obviously), so you'll need a shock pump as it doesn't come with one.
The gears on mine were not set up perfectly, so I set these up again.
The battery cover rattles slightly , but you can easily fix this by sticking some rubber or felt on the inside of the cover between the two locating tabs.
It's been good though, have done 112miles since I got it, very pleased with it.

According to the schedule it should come with VP537 pedals which don't look particularly good. Out of interest what do you use?
Al
I agree. I've ordered something more appropriate, DMR V12. I can't justify spending £100 on pedals, I'm a YorkshiremanI've just googled those pedals, they look terrible , probably only just good enough for very lightweight use, ie just pedalling along flat tracks/roads.
I use raceface atlas pedals , but the oneup pedals also look decent.
Yeah you don't need to spend a lot, I always used to use dmr v12's, but they fell apart quite quickly it seemed.I agree. I've ordered something more appropriate, DMR V12. I can't justify spending £100 on pedals, I'm a Yorkshireman
For everyone's information... I had my bike upgraded to the 1.1.0.0 but there are about 7 versions of the update, and not all update to 85Nm... I got caught out and had to take the bike back, to upgrade to the 85Nm version. The bike shop had no idea, and I had to instruct them. The upgrade from 75Nm to 85Nm was quite noticeable. Getting them to print out what they've done, or looking at their diagnostic screen saves any confusion.A little concerning that a Bosch e-bike retailer "does not know"
I would expect a Bosch e-bike retailer to provide a Bosch diagnostic report as part of the PDI before you take delivery?
This will list the software versions for the motor, controller and battery.
If it is version 1.1.0.0 for the motor, you have the 85Nm update.
If the retailer is not capable of that (I would think about shopping elsewhere), then you can check it yourself on the Purion display.
Turn on, whilst simultaneously holding down the + & - buttons, and it scrolls through the software versions.
If it is version 1.1.0.0 (or later... cheers Keith) for the motor, you have the 85Nm update.
And today, there is actual version 1.1.2.0 for bosch gen4 performance cx.
Press plus and minus buttons and power on.Just had mine done today with 10 week sevce...feels no better at all, infact if anything of feels less powerful..ill test properly at a later date. How.do I check software on the purion ?
....as you switch it on. (Else you just do a reset)I think you hold down the + and - keys together.
