Just received my tracking number!!How long does it take from receiving the number to receiving the actual bike? anybody knows? I am based in Italy..

Depending on the courier you usually can see the estimated delivery time at their web page. Unfortunately these packages don`t usually move during the weekends.

Which bike, when did you order and what was the original estimate?

Hi. Same bike as I ordered last week. Nice to see that the estimates are accurate, though I still have almost three months to wait

You shouldn’t have an engagement issue on the motor as it is a sprag clutch like the Onyx. You can feel a bit of lag until the motor cuts in sometimes. It all comes from the hub and taking up slack in worn chains.

Thanks. I’m new to ebikes. You’re right, the motor has instant engagement.

It was in one of the 3 Singletrack Magazine YouTube videos on the release of the new Focus Jam2/Thron with 2020 Bosch motor. Probably a month or so ago.

Edit:

I was really interested in the Jam2 with the delays on the Decoy & battery warranty concerns but the reports on the engagement and lack of speed enhancement put me right off.

Thanks for your reply. But at least, we know a 700wh will come. Commencal say the same with the new 29 Meta Power about a higher capacity battery, then they told it will not be compatible with the frame. So it's a no go for me.
would like something future-proof. That's why i'm looking into the Decoy.
The YT 700Wh battery will be bulkier than the original 500Wh. It will protrude slightly out of the bottom of the frame with a 'curve bulge' where the extra cells are located, with a curved recess to allow front wheel to fit.

Are we talking about the Decoy? 5 days only? I can’t believe this! It’s written 16 October on their website right now! Can you explain more please?

Thanks for this. Not very happy with the hulk-buster style of the bike with the chunkier battery.

The date on the website is the date that model/size will be available for your location if you order it now; add 2-3 days for build, and then shipping, which is 5-10 days to the UK. So, by your example, if it says 16th October it would likely be delivered to a UK buyer about 24th-29th October. Note that the available date varies with area so the same model and size might be available much sooner to a US buyer than a European buyer, or vice versa.

Hope that makes sense.

I haven’t received mine yet. It showed in stock in July so I emailed to confirm after reading this thread and some of the discrepancies. They emailed me back pretty quick and said they were in a C can in Vancouver and they would receive them at the warehouse in a day or 3 and build them and fill the previous orders. That was Friday July 23 or 24th , so he figured they ship mine by the end of the following week. I placed my order on the 25th as it still showed “in stock”. After I placed my order, pre confirmation, it then showed “sold out” so I was worried I might have gotten scooped. I emailed them in Kelowna(Canadian distribution center) and he replied soon after that I got the last one for that shipment(although looks like they now have medium in the black/grey). Stoked!!! They handed it off the Loomis(courier) on Friday as they had said. Shipping is scheduled for tomorrow. So far so good/ fingers crossed. It’s been a straight forward process thus far

Hey, putting my Pro Race together, I can’t figure out the electrical connections. All of the wires up at the cockpit look like they are female to female connectors, how do you join them? And the derailleur wire, does it just press on? It doesn’t seem to secure on, it can just easily be pulled back off.

I don’t want to force things, what am I missing?

you have to use the shimano tool to connect the connectors, you will hear a little click when the connector is plugged in. check on the manual, that the connections are correct on the display, on mine there was a reversal of the wires between the assistance and the shifter

Fitted the Miranda Delta SH 155mm crank arms today to ward off rock strikes (pretty gnarly round here).
Had 152mm on my Lapierre which worked a treat and these are just as good :)
Also ordered alloy crank end caps to avoid the crank arms walking off, should be here soon......

One question, my code rs brakes feel really spongy and weak out of the box, any of you had the same issue? Should I just break them in?
