Wiring problem

The contact on my E8000 motor for the wire from the display appears to be faulty. If you have to unplug to drop the motor it won't work when reconnected. If you waggle the plug it will make a contact but the slightest movement causes it to disconnect. I have replaced the wire and cleaned the motor contact but no improvement. What's the problem and what can I do about it?

It might be as simple as a damaged wire. If they get crushed the symptoms can be as described. It happened to me when I got a new battery under warranty. Whoever did the work crushed the wire when removing the old battery or refitting the new one. For me, it was bar position that exposed the fault.

Thanks but I tried a new wire and it didn't make any difference. I even ran the new wire outside the frame to check it wasn't being crushed but it still didn't work.
