Will Shimano update their batteries?

Hi,

Do we think that Shimano will do a new battery with the new battery cell tech? They have just updated the motor to give riders some of the settings that Bosch riders have with overrun, etc. but they haven't seems to updated their batteries with nothing over 630kw (I know that they allow 3rd party that are bigger) - the density of the new cells would allow them to push 700+ and would love to see them introduce bigger sizes that fit the existing mounts.

It would be another way to keep the existing EP801 riders happy - What do we think?

I can't see it, at least not that would be compatible with the existing systems. Shimano had a track record of not allowing backwards compatibility and forcing users to but a whole new system.
