Hi Guys!!
Happy new year from France!!

I did my 1st ride with my Trek R1il 9.8 2021.
What a great bike it is !!+!🤩
Nervous, and it fell so lighter than my previous Moustache game 10
Very very Happy !!

However, i have noticed that the clearance between the base and 34 sprocket is ridiculous!!??
And the chain and or a bent sprocket can occur damage on the carbon base!!

How can i fix it?

Does a 34 sprocket exist with a wide offset?

Thanks

A chainring for a boost rear end ( 148 rear hub) is usually described as 3mm offset or boost. Your chainring is direct mount so not a lot you can do if , as is likely, the existing chainring is marked as 3mm offset or boost. You could of course fit a 32t direct mount 3mm offset chainring which would maintain the chainline but increase the clearance with the chainstay.

Do a search on the forum because I am pretty sure others have tackled your problem by changing the direct mount chainring for a spider and 4 bolt chainring. Otherwise you can

A+
