Anything except a coil, the suspension isn't progressive enough and the design risks shaft failure from side loadings. If you want coil-like try a Rockshox Vivid.

Cane Creek Tigon addresses both the progression and the robustness issues.
So you can have a coil shock on your yoke driven shock e160
You will also be much faster because you will have lost a lot of weight ... from your wallet.

if you want to run a coil make sure it is a steel shaft such as Ohlins and you will be totally fine on the Whyte, speak to TF Tuned, I had a couple over a two year period and never any issues and that was on a longer stroke E180
