Which motor do I have? Shimano EP 8.01 or E8?

Hi All, I've been an MTB'er for decades and just made the jump to an "e"

I just received delivery of my first eMTB yesterday. It's a Canyon Spectral:ON CF 8. I'll be assembling it today/tomorrow.

It's a 2022/2023 (somewhere in the crossover between those two years) that bought I from Canyon's Closeout section. Canyon informs me that it has the Shimano EP 8.01 motor. Does anyone know how to verify this and that it's not the older EP8?

Take a look at this thread and just go take a look at your motor to see if you have EP800 or EP801.
