E*POWAH Master
Does anyone know what battery Bosch uses for extending range ?.
OK. My good bike is 625wh, and i have the option to fit a further 500wh frame mount battery. But the thing is there seems to be a couple of frame mount 500wh models
I believe you fit the battery, then get the dealer to enable it to charge in parallel with your main battery, and I think I know that not all Bosch batteries are able to work in unison as an extender, but don't know for sure.
There are 2 types of 625wh Bosch horizontal internal frame models. One works on its own, the other is for use with a 2nd battery, so I would suspect this is the case on the add on 500wh frame mount model
So if anyone has done this, how did you know which model to get ?.
Theres a few Bosch batteries on sale at Merlin, and these prices fluctuate quite a bit, so thought maybe get something while the prices are low.
I was watching a YT vid on a couple of guys doing the West Highland Way on Ebikes, and while it will probably never happen, having more battery capacity would allow me to 'range' further.
