I rode to basingstoke and back today. It is about 40 miles...lovely day for it too!

I spend 2 hours in the forest today helping a few beginners the basics of riding a MTB, It was -3 degrees in Denmark but an utterly fantastic day in the forest.

I always like riding in the forest when it's cold and frosty. Hopefully your "trainees" had a good day out too

They had a brilliant day out. I started by ordering 2 women to shift bikes, a tall lady came on a kids bike and another one came on a bike even too big for me and she was about 6” shorter ? They now know how to bunny jump and use their brakes.

Aha! I love riding canals. Once rode from Brentford to Gas Street Basin along the Grand Union over three days. Accoustic MTB. My mind does often turn to another similar adventure at some point.

Well, it is winter so can't expect it to be fantastic.

I had to wear my long sleeves. 17C is just not on, can't wait for 25C+ again. Roll on April/May, I say.

This week several laps of sherwood pines and some off piste stuff, checked out stockley trail which is local to, been mixing rides between hard tail and my full suspension bikes.

This is Stockley trail, short and a nice ride
