Wheel circumference different for each bike?

Hi

With my bike (grand canyon:ON 9) the preset wheel circumference is 2550mm when I use a 3rd party app to check this.
When I look at the theoretical wheel circumference for my bike (29" x 2,6) it should be higher, f.e. 2350mm.
Is it plausible that the wheel circumference for each bike is different and not 1 standard setting?

It's down to the tyres. The rims will need to be all the same size - or you wouldn't be able to change tyres - but the outer circumference for each type of tyre will be slightly different. To measure your bike, chalk a mark on the ground when the valve stem is at the bottom, then roll forward one revolution and make another mark.
