What's the bit called that the thru axle screws into?

...I semi-stripped the thread on mine yesterday removing the rear wheel. It was a bitch to get the thru axle to thread and I'd like to order a new part before the next time I have to remove the rear wheel, like when I have a puncture.

Thru Axle Nut - which one you need varies depending on bike and axle standard/brand you are using.

It may be easier to buy a new Thru axle set that includes the nut, in case you have damaged the axle too.

Update, the thru axle nut for my Cube Stereo Hybrid comes with each new derailleur hanger. No need to buy a new thru axle.
