What to look for when buying forks?

I want to get some forks for my Giant Stance E+2 but not sure on what specs I need to consider..

I would like more travel, make the bike sit higher and have a more aggressive look but of course I don't want to mess up the ergo and I want it to perform better.

Is it really as simple as upgrading the forks or are there any certain things I need to look out for when buying forks for an eBike? Thanks

It really is that simple. Make sure the forks have the same or slightly more travel (up to +10mm unless you know what you're doing) and have the correct steerer type and correct axle type.

Generally the more you pay the better features you'll get. If you stick with the big manufacturers you'll end up with something decent. Some bomber Z2's would suit that bike perfectly ?

Nice one mate. Yeah those bomber Z2's look bang on ? the travel that is on the current forks is 120mm so do you not recommend going higher than 130mm? Would 150 or 160 mess everything up?

Yeah stick with 140 absolute max, the front end will write cheques the back end can't cash. Not to mention the geo issues.
If you had a choice between 130 and 140 what would you go for?

Like rocking horse ? them Z2's lol. It's been a pandemic for any outdoor products that's for sure! ?

On you're bike, I'd go 130 but it's not the be all and end all. Likewise Z2's are nice but there are plenty of other forks around at a similar price point that will do just as good a job. At the moment it boils down to getting whatever is available for the right price. Dont forget the second hand market as well.

Nice one mate is there any other fork you'd recommend? I like FOX's but they're quite dear and extinct as well....

My grandson's Ragley Marley 1.0 came with Manitou forks and I remain much impressed with them. They are 34mm stanchion, but I'm sure that Manitou do stiffer ones.

Manitou 110 Mattoc Comp Boost 130mm (adjustable 120-140mm), 1.5” taper, 44mm offset, 34mm stanchion, crown to axle 549mm, 1996gm.

Adjustments:
Compression Damping (dial at top, RH leg)
Rebound Damping (knob at bottom, RH leg)
Air pressure (Schrader bottom, LH leg)
Air volume tuning: Dorado air spring with 4-step Incremental Volume adjust (IVA) (top, LH leg)
