What is this noise?

Hi everyone!
I just bought a Trek Powerfly 4 with a Bosch Performance CX 85 Nm motor. I noticed that if I pedal backwards this really strange noise comes. Is this actually normal?

Thanks. I figured it out. I had broke a spoke on trail and the remaining inch of spoke at the hub wedged into the cassette locking the hub from freecoasting which made the cranks sound as if the were spinning backwards...hopefully that didn’t cause any damage, as I rode the final 6 miles like that.

ha.....we used to use carboard held on with pegs on the spokes as kids to get that noise!!

For me it was a baseball card in the spokes lol
