Answered What does this lock/unlock switch do?

On my Deraillieur gears there's a small switch which says 'lock/unlock' and is set to the lock position. Does anyone know what it does? It seems to make no difference to normal operation no mater what position it's in.

Is it the Cage Lock (or non-Sram equivalent) button?

When it’s in the locked position the derailleur doesn’t bounce off the bottom of the frame. Unlock is so you can remove the wheel
