What are your 2022 riding goals..?

I've got this drop on my radar for this year, so thought I'd find out what other people have on their riding goals for 2022.

Mine is this natural rock drop, which is about 5ft from top of rock to bottom, but with such a steep landing (the photos don't do it justice), the actual drop would be much bigger. The rock is rollable, with an easier line to riders left and the straight through the middle option also being the drop. The roll in is sketchy, as you come in out of a steep gully and over a root web, and are aimed at a tree right until the last minute, but the landing is even sketchier. There's a tree immediately below and to riders right of the rock, then a really washed out gully through the middle, which is v.rocky, and a couple of stumps in the undergrowth a touch further down, to riders left. The whole lot combines to make line choice and speed absolutely critical, so I think I'll be waiting for things to dry up a bit before I have a go...

Riding this drop. And also riding a local trail named Kissing Rock.
Apparently aptly named as for its huge rock drops & rolls & what happens to riders that get it wrong

Sorry for doubling up on this photo from pic of the day but it's goal number one!

Visiting and riding some National Parks we have never been to with the wife on our ebikes. Last year we found out how nice they were to ride around on trips rather then drive everywhere, hoping we can continue getting a lot of use of our ebikes.

More kilometres than last year, which should be easy to do if we don't get locked down again.
Actually - Frog it ..... more kilometres than last year, lockdown or not. Already passed last Januarys total so off to a good start. Put on about 3000km since I got the 900 Tuned while I was off with my back surgery. If I can double that before years end I will be a happy camper.

Want to do a lot more climbing as well. - which means more hills and less XC trails. Don't think I will double the 11,600m as have a bunch of rides I will be leading newbies around but with 2430 already I have a good shot.

Other than that, keeping the 64 year old body relatively injury free will make me happy.

To get back to my admittedly fairly mediocre level from 2020.
I smashed myself badly last year and have totally lost confidence on jumps, drops and steeps.
If I get my mojo back then lots of North Wales bikeparks assuming no restrictions.
I think a return to the Alps will be pretty unlikely unfortunately, due to the c word.

Some sweet ones so far, nice! Have to say, just seeing the posts that said "get a bike" made me feel bloody lucky already!

Top recommendation for that would be to spend a few bucks on a day of coaching. I've taken many a rider in your position and got them right back on the horse, in just 4 or 5hrs of riding. I know some people balk at the cost (though no idea why, when you see what we spend on our bikes!?!), but it really is money very well spent. Just be sure to go to someone with a rep or who comes recommended.
