Hey folks...
I just peel off a fresh frame cover on my levo Sl because it was slightly off axis.....and the clearcoat comes of the bike.
It looks so terrible, i got so heavy pissed, no words😕.

Is this a warranty claim or not?

Cheers😞

I would say it’s unlikely to be warranty but you’ve got nothing to lose by asking.
Did you use a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the glue before attempting to remove the sticker?

It was a complete fresh framecover and it sticks only 1 minute on the bike in a 24degree heated room.
It wasnt even full sticked.
It goes of very easy, but with the bikeclearcoat.
No heatgun, nothing.
Iam so pissed, want use the Frame anymore.

Oh wait, it was an aftermarket frame cover, not fitted at the factory?

And it's definitely the clearcoat that's come off? it's not glue residue from the sticker?

Yes its definitly the clearcoat, i can scratch it away with my nails.
Everything i stick on it to protect the damage causes even more damage. More and more clearcoat comes of.
I dont know how to repair

Take it to the shop and see what they say, what have you got to lose?

the factory clearcoat is very thin on specialized. even peeling off the factory fitted frame protect stickers can lift away clear coat. the aftermarket frame protector you used has very strong adhesive and if not removed very carefully with a hairdryer this will likely occur.

have you considered another aftermarket frame protector that is colored or has a design on it? that would mask the damage that is present from the clearcoat that peeled away. there are a few different companies that make aftermarket frame protection with graphics...that will help cover up damage and you can go ride your bike happy!

After one day of dissapointment i found somebody who can do an airbrush clearcoat repaint on the seat tube.
He said it will be complete invisible, no damage will be there after that.
Its for me the better option than warranty claim.
But thanks for your all opinion, its clear its my own fault. Have to heat it up next time.

Cheers

Post photo afterwards if you get time, I am interested how well that can be fixed.

I don't think it's fully your fault, there seems to be more issues with matte clearcoats on few brands (Specialized, Transition, etc..).
Not sure why that would be.

Dont want spend too much money on an old sl frame, its only a sideproject.
Maybe i will fix it with Gravel tape.
This stuff sticks very hard, and dont get grey after time. Its also very slippy.
A 4cm wide stripe from top to bottom will cover the complete seattube on rearside.
