A video I saw recently where the bloke used walk assist to clean his chain got me thinking; what's it supposed to do on the Bosch system? He had a spring clamp on the button and the motor was clearly running as the cranks were spinning slowly. When I press the button with the bike on a maintenance stand and in top gear stand nothing happens. Is it broken?

With Purion, I believe that you have to press the walk assist button then hold down + button.

I've never had cause to use it, so that is just a guess, by trying to remember back to something that I have previously read..

In the case of Intuvia, you just press and hold the walk button.

In respect of cleaning the chain, I run two chains, and use an ultrasonic cleaner.

Sussed it. Once the walk button has been pressed you have a short time to press and hold the + button and it works. Not very intuitive, but it’s all we’ve got.
