Part of the benefits of the Vitus and Bafang was the availability of parts, so if the worst happens we may just need to spend some of that money we saved getting such a good deal to buy bits.
In Germany fahrrad.de (Bikster) has filed for insolvency. This probably voids my warranty for the broken fork. Will try it directly at Suntour.
At least CRC seems to be affected not quite so much. This gives me hope that the spare parts, for example, the motor protection or display, might be available sometime.
Can someone share the info with what torque the mounting bolts from the engine must be tightened. I have not had it checked on mine yet.

This was my thought as well. I’m not concerned with warranty. My main problem is they closed the US office and now there’s no other way to get them here.
I can’t help but think there’s a warehouse in Utah with some sitting in it. I really wish they would have just put them on sale like CRC did just to get rid of them before they closed.

Looked up the M510 manual, and have attached this page, hope this helps. Things are getting so bad these days in the cycling retail markets, also, many Bafang parts are easily attainable from many e-bike parts suppliers.
As @Mysterymanuk says - 35nm.
I think the "loose" one is the one behind the chain guide. I think you can just get it by removing the 4 bolts for the chainring and then moving the chain guide if you don't want to pull the spider off.

In canada I'd say the entry level bargain price bike here is the Norco sight and range vlt A2. The range is about 5600 canadian (3400 euros?) with a 540wh battery, with a zeb, 4 piston brakes, rockshox coil, maxxis dd tires. its really a good deal. Gotta love the overstock!

Oh nice, if I had the funds available I would have opted for the top model also, I was originally going to buy the Haibike ALLMNT 3, loved the colour and the specs, but decided to buy the VR model due to the price. I may upgrade the pedals and handlebar grips to yellow and maybe just maybe use some yellow splatter paint effect to jazz up the black frame. This will be my first-ever full-suspension e-bike being mostly a hard tail cyclist for many years.
However, waiting to see if Lombardo release this model, love the whole aesthetics and the colours.

I suspect you'll be blown away with the base E-mythique. Sounds like Suntour sorted the forks at some point - maybe people have working ones need to report the serial number so we can back trace when they fixed it. Not had chance to hammer my Zeb's yet or put the Zeron's back on, but I'd image they'd work well .
The price/performance/capability is off the scale. Plus, the paint and everything about it is nice - it has a semi metallic finish and actually looks amazing in real life - actually prefer it visually and finish wise as time has gone by to my othe r bikes.. Defo change your pedals to something with more grip and lighter (depending what it ships with).
Anyone just getting one. Check your spoke tensions, especially the rears ... and enjoy ! (The tubeless valves seem to need to be quite tight due to the tapered design or they slowly seep).

As this is my first time going full suspension, I feel it will be night and day compared to a hard trail, I'm 55, so bought it for comfort and obviously going up and down the trails. I'll take your word on it regarding the paint then take it from there.
Can you recommend a decent set of pedals? magnesium or aluminium or maybe even a composite pedals?

Does the bike come with tubeless valves?
Or what shape are the rims for us to buy the valves.
Also weird questions but don’t normally run tubeless so any differences in the different sealants available?
I had three hardtail EMTB's before I went FS. I was convinced you didn't need FS unless doing really rally scary crazy crap and even then - the rider could make up for it (even though in this case they were crap) First time out on an FS and even a gnarly cross country route and I was 30% faster. They're just ... NICE ! Pedals, for me, I've come to prefer plastic/composite. I like to graze the rocks as close as possible and the plastic slides nicer. There's a few pedal threads. I have some raceface ones which have stood up pretty well. The Nukerproof ones I bought for the VR are a slightly larger platform and are pretty tight to turn (thought that could just mean they're well sealed - so they'll last and it makes little difference on an EMTB).
Mine came with the valves. I think it's supposed to come with sealant too, but my box was torn, so that could have gone awol. Stans is a pretty safe bet, and Peaty's. I did try another weird off brand one a while ago, can't remember what and it was awful.
If you're riding with Tubes, just make sure the pressure isn't too low (say 2 bar minimum as a rough guess) so the tyre can't slide around the rim and tear the tube when you get crazy or you don't get snake bites when the tube gets pinched by the tyre/rim when you go a bit faster.
Tubeless just means you can ride lower pressures - but doesn't necessarily mean you have to. But it also means it's more likely to repair itself if you do get a puncture and with the bonus that you save quite a lot of weight in the rolling area.

I've heard once you go over to full suspension it can be difficult to go back to the hardtail, I will find out soon enough. Kinda, I don't think I could go back to a manual bike these days, e-bikes are just so much fun and take up less effort getting up hills.
I have 3 e-bikes, all hardtail, so I'm hoping for the full suspension I will enjoy it to the point I may sell my other e-bikes, well I may hold on to my Zooz BMX style e-bike for roads and flat ground, time will tell.
I will have a look at the pedals you have mentioned, thanks for your input, it's appreciated.

I got the same text today also, took the day off work, I hope you receive the e-bike soon. I actually read on the Vitus UK owner's Facebook page that this seems to happen a lot with arrowxl, or is it just a lack of manpower to get the goods out on time.
I mean it doesn't take an expert to figure out the box is coming from say Vitus warehouse to then say the customer is in Glasgow, they'd know the nearest arrowxl warehouse to send it to close to Glasgow.

Went on to the webchat, typed my message, submitted it to then got a message saying live chat was not available. Had to then fill in a form with the same details, stating they would get back within 24 hours or average. Have asked for a reschedule for this coming Saturday

So, managed to get through to live chat, and rescheduled my delivery for this Saturday 28th. Then a further update on the tracking has been updated to the 25th of December. So trying to get this sorted out.

Sorry to hear that, it really is a bad show with arrowxl, I've asked why the change to the 25th of December, probably take them a while to reply. Just annoyed I took the day away from work without getting paid for today by my employer.
I've just been on webchat - ArrowXL assure me that they are delivering as re-planned this morning for Friday 27th October.
We'll see....
