Thinking about POSSIBLY adding it to next year's travels... Questions...

What city would I fly into?

Any EMTB Forum rides planned?

Anyone else thinking about going from the PNW?

Not sure how you'll fly with your battery. (or do you have a plan for that?)

Verbier is awesome. I'd rather take my bike than my usual luggage & rent a battery.

Surrey Hills.
Geneva.

If you're flying from US I guess you'll arrive in Paris and can take the train. From GVA it's about an hour by road.

On your journey home go the other way around the lake and stop in Chamonix. See Mt Blanc, take the ride up to the Aiguille du Midi, walk on the glacier at Montenvers. Breathtaking.

Really?
Thought it'd be closer to two.

Loads of other destinations worth riding at within 2 hrs of GVA too.
Morzine/LesGets, Chatel, Morgans, Champery, Chamonix etc. ... all have slightly different towns/vibe/trail styles.
eg. Morzine is a Brit sausage club, everywhere else is far more mixed punter wise

Personally unless queuing is high on your list of favourite activities I'd avoid any alpine biking resort while there's any sort of biking festival on.
Passportes du soleil is a nightmare compared to a normal non festival week/weekend riding
