Update Bosch Motor

I've been wondering would it be possible to upgrade my gen 3 motor for a gen 4, with some sort of adapter, probably not but in principle why not there's nothing wrong with the rest of the bike and id happily pay for the newer motor, but we all seem forced into a complete new bike every time, and i'm not thinking about the battery just the motor

Probably a market segment for someone to make adapters between Gen 2 and Gen 4 motors. (Isn't Gen 3 the large cog commuter ebike motor rather than the EMTB motor? I get totally confused with the numbers, so I'm not that person).

However, given the need for new wiring looms etc., you have to wonder whether it will be worth it once labour costs are included. Maybe someone selling brackets on eBay for the home market will eventually be the way forward.

Given that we are all due to go broke in a couple of months, this might be a way to earn a crust.
