Unsure what this is

Purchased a new Trek Rail 9.9 XO T-Type. It didn’t come with a lot of information and came with this little blue chip. Does anyone know what it is or what it would be used for? Thanks in advance for any help

It looks as though it could be used to cover a terminal to protect it for some reason.

You will probably find it fits the lighting port on the motor
It definitely looks like a bosch motor plug to me from the pictures .

Google 'Bosch ebike lighting cable' and compare the blue plug to your widget - I think @Paulquattro is correct.
