After 5 years of DH and 4 years emtb using DH casings (with hd tubes) I picked up just 1 puncture, that was what appeared to be an upholstery nail which would've killed anything........
Round here is dry and stony, not many thorns, but lots of sharp-edged rocks, I seem to be good at not getting pinch-flats so maybe that's why, I've been running my Decoy tubeless with DH casings the past 2 summers (Eddy Current 2.8 DH rear/Minion DHF DH 2.5 front.
It'll be time to change the tyres soon for the original Exo+ casings and was thinking Cushcore or similar to help out with flats.
Problem is, the inserts cost more than new replacement DH casing tyres, so was wondering is there any "real" benefit to inserts, given the inserts negate the weight saving of the lighter tyres over DH tyres...???
