Tyre inserts and E-specific tyres

If you run ebike tyres like the Eddy Currents, with the thicker casing and protection would this negate the need to an extent for inserts?

I’ve been contemplating cushcore or Vittoria liners, but the Eddys weight nearly 1.5kg in 29/2.6 and with cushcore it would be up near 1,750g. That’s super heavy! I know we have a motor but still...!

Interesting, I must try to find a list of weights for all types of Schwalbe tyres. Currently thinking about the same issues. Heavier, more robust tyre v lighter but with Tanus armour or other insert. Might have to use a spreadsheet to work out all the combinations to find the optimum option.

I could of course go tubeless but then again I don’t try to tackle anything more knarly than a matchstick on my cube hardtail ?

I’ve gone tubeless but wary of the added bike weight. Hmmm.

Eat a couple of rotten eggs and you will lose 5kg in body weight pretty quick. You will feel terrible but will get more range per charge

I worked out the weight difference of the specialised Black Dimond case with sealant vs a lighter grid case with Tannus and lightweight Maxxis tubes. The Tannus came in around 50 grams heavier. For an extra 50g you get a lot of benifts if it’s tho.
