I've put some proper km on the Rise now and have made a few adjustments
Profile. I put it straight in profile 2. I'm not sure I see the point in P1 but has anyone spent any time in it? If I want less assistance I'd just use Eco?
Tweaks. Eco felt terrible in P2 - maybe it's just that I feel I *should* be going faster but it felt like I was charging a dynamo rather than getting assist. It felt worse than an unassisted bike. I then turned the assist level and max power up one notch from the defaults and it transformed it. Suddenly felt fun and useful and I've been doing a few climbs in eco now (and using it when riding with slower riders) as well as using Eco when depending most of the time.
Range.
My view is it's all about the amount of climbing rather than the distance as that's what sucks the battery. Using Trail nearly all the time (with very limited use of boost for specific features a few times in a ride) I'm reliably getting
1200+ m internal.
1800+ m with range extender.
Next is to work out how much that increases if use Eco.
