I built a duplicate set of wheel for my 2021 Turbo Levo and set them up with studded tires for ice and snow. My aim was to be able to have an exit duplicate set other than the tires so I could swap them in and out with the originals in a few minutes as conditions change. I did not understand there was a magnet attached to the rear hub so I got error codes immediately when I went out riding with the new wheels, and the bike had little or no assist. Turns out the missing magnet will trigger the same kinds of error codes as a battery fault, about which there is plenty of info here on the forum. My bike‘s original wheels use a centerlock setup but the set I built for ice and snow were 6 bolt, so I was crushed for about an hour about having built a useless set of $1000 wheels. Then I figured out the little magnet can also be had from Specialized for use with 6 bolt rotors. Photos of each atttached. Hopefully this saves someone else a panic attack.
