Morning all.
A few months ago I had a clumsy moment and came off my Levo, smashing the mount off the back of the TCD display unit (better than smashing the bike up at least!). It still works, but as I can no longer mount it to the bike it's kind of useless.
Have subsequently found that I do miss the battery percentage display, the mode indication, and the speed/distance etc readouts. But am loathe to pay £80+ for another TCD as it's otherwise quite limited in functionality.
Instead I'm considering a cheap Doogee rugged phone off Amazon installed with BLEVO, which can sit in a handlebar mount and do all the same functions as the TCD along with running the OS mapping app.
Just want to be sure that there's not some fundamental flaw in my plan.
Have seen some discussions online around some generations of Levo reportedly not working with BLEVO, is this the case with the 2022 versions?
And the phone itself presumably only needs to support Bluetooth Low Energy for the app to work and connect to the bike?
Don't have any interest in removing speed restrictions etc, but it would be nice to be able to adjust the assistance settings on the fly (sometimes 3 modes don't quite cover everything on a ride), does BLEVO allow this or would I still have to use the Specialized app?
