Hi, new to EMTB and having issues fitting Zebs to my trek rail size L, I’m no bike mechanic so apologies for descriptions but the base of the fork on the zeb is much wider than the stock fork and won’t go through the headtube without removing the bearing!. I have brought the wrong spec or is there something I can do to make them fit. Thanks for the advice

My Zebs are 1.8”and the 35’s are 1.5”, images show bearings original beatings on both. Is there a race/bearing combination that would work?

Rockshox makes the Zeb in both a 1.8" and 1.5" steerer tube. You would want to return yours and purchase a 1.5" steerer size.

Also, you'll love the Zeb once you ride it, such a planted fork on the trail especially coming off a 35.

I was under the impression that the trek rail that the op has is one of the bikes that takes a 1.8 steerer? If that’s the case then all he needs is the correct lower bearing and crown race

Depends on how you interpret this;
I’m guessing that the bearing he has is a step down bearing for a 1.8 lower cup but a 1.5 inner diameter to match his old forks. The 1.8 forks won’t fit through that bearing so a thinner bearing for a 1.8 cup and 1.8 steerer should work if I’m correct

If it has its different to my 2022 rail as mine is a standard 1.5" taper and standard bearing
If this is the case he just has the wrong forks and needs a 1.5" tapered set Not 1.8" set.

I’m not sure, I just see a lot of 1.8 steerer forks for sale from trek rails and have seen posts on here that confirm the larger headtube. As to what specific models I have no clue. The op would have to check up or measure the bottom of the headtube to see if a zs66 bearing and cup would fit. Or change the forks…
