I have a 2020 Trek rail 9.7. It has the Purion display. I like the Kiosk display better, but has anyone converted over to the Kiosk and was it much of a job? And, was it worth it? I went on the Bosch website, but it doesn't list cost or exactly how to convert over. Hopefully someone here can help.

This seems to be a fairly frequent request. Yes you can upgrade. Google "Bosch Kiox upgrade kit" and you should expose some suppliers.

Fitting is easy if you're OK with dropping the motor off to unplug the old display and plug in the new one. If not, you need to find a friend who's more gung-ho.

A question to ask yourself is where to mount the display. There are handlebar mounts, top of stem mounts or Trek-special knock-block fitting.

I was talking to a gentleman on the trail who mentioned he'd done the upgrade. He recommended getting a camera strap for the LCD display to keep it from flying off into the bushes, as its just a magnet holding it on.

There's also a place in the back for a small screw, it won't come off at all then.

Also to note the new LOCK security feature when setup wont work until the KIOX is removed from the bike. Like when locking it away. Take the KIOX off the bike with this security feature and the bike will not work, it locks the motor. (fitting another KIOX docent bypass it either).

A lanyard to is also advised when out on the trail, just in case though ;-)
