After a 4 years of perfect spending time on my Mondraker Crafty RR 2021 with my two sons on child seat Macride come to a time to change an ebike.
My priorities was bosch motor, removable battery and good quality od a frame. I had a choice a propain ekano 2 CF, but I am afraid abbout garanty on Slovak republic.
My first choice was trek slash+ or new trek rail+, but the reach is 450 or 490 - ( Mondraker was 490 and it was a little long to my 178 cm)
Finaly I buy Trek rail 7 gen 3 2023 625wh to 3000€ without VAT, so I had a nice place to update.

First I take a immportal Nukeproof Horizont sam hill pedals, axs reverb 170 mm seatpost from my friend, raceface turbine 40 mm 35 with renthal fatbar, deadgrip grips and finally supedeluxe ultimate. also maybe I change a wheelset, at home I have crankbrother enduro alloy from YT capra with gx cassete.

Today I buy a sram maven, gx axs, rs zebb ultimate 160mm,hope 155 cranks and my lovely eddy current.

As I have gone through several good and bad decisions with Mondraker, at least I know that it is worth waiting for the parts in terms of color and I will tune it to only one color, namely red in combination with a black frame.

I had a question to experienced tuners.

When I change a shock from 230*57,5 to 230x60, the angles and geometry will be badly ? My First choice was RS zebb 170, but is not possible to buy ant the moment, and charger to change a length is not too expensive.

After a few of my trips I will try to describe the feelings and comparisons with previous ebikes, but the first impression is that it is the best geometry for my figure that I have ridden :)

Not that I can answer your question, but I completely agree with picking red as the contrasting colour with the dark prismatic - Ive done the same with the bottle cage and will also be following suit with other mods (excuse the dirty bike post ride) 🤟
